Autumn is among us...

With local students heading back to school, a great start to PSU football, and the sun setting just a few moments earlier each day -- it's clear Fall is on the horizon! The CCUW Women United had a productive summer and is looking forward to great things in the Fall. Read all about it below and in case you missed it take a look back at the August 2023 Newsletter.

Women United: Summer Recap

2023 Women United Grants

We had eight applications for our grant for new or expanding initiatives that support women and children.

We awarded $6,350 for the Centre County Courthouse Children’s Space to The Makery of Central Pennsylvania and $1,000 to Centre Volunteers in Medicine for their Breast Health Program.

Fall Luncheon

Wednesday, September 13, 2023 from 11:30 am - 1 pm

The Penn State - Gardens Restaurant

Cost for lunch is $20.00

Hear from two of our 2022 grant recipients. CenClear will tell us about their program to support the transition of at-risk children into kindergarten. The YMCA of Centre County will tell us about Dolphins, a six-week children’s mental health program.

Women United Afterhours at the Rivet

Tuesday, November 14, 2023 from 5:30 pm - 7:30 pm

The Rivet

Cost: $20.00 per person

Invite a friend to our craft and learn event! We will be creating our own ring dishes, enjoying some refreshments, and learning about Women United. Invite coming soon!

Taste of the Town

Our 2022 event was snowed out and we can't wait to be back again! This year we will return to the Penn Stater in November. Be on the look out for the official announcement coming soon!
